What we do

Our program aims to create three separate kits that can be easily assembled by any middle school student, similar to a Lego kit. These kits will teach students basic engineering concepts and simple coding mechanics in the Arduino IDE. After assembling each kit, the students will be encouraged to further experiment with editing the code or making changes to the project itself to get a hands-on experience in engineering and computer science.

Who we are

We are a group of high schoolers who are interested in pursuing higher education and careers in STEM thanks to various sources of inspiration. Our goal in creating the STEM Kits Project is to provide a fun and engaging source of inspiration to middle schoolers who may be unsure whether or not they want to pursue a technology related career.

Jonathan Sun is a high school senior that enjoys engineering and robotics and started RoboKits as a way to spread the robotics knowledge that he has accumulated over the years and give back to the community that taught him these skills.

William Copeland is a high school senior at Eastside Preparatory School who is passionate about giving back to his community. Through Robokits, William wishes to inspire younger generations just as he was to engineering.

Arnav Sharma is a high school senior at Eastside Preparatory School who is passionate about aerospace and mechanical engineering as well as giving back to his local community. Outside of school, he’s a student pilot and enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee.

Stan Loosmore is a high school senior at Eastside Preparatory School who is passionate about giving back to his community. He is also the founder of Foligy LLC, and enjoys hiking skiing and difficult problems
